ABOUT ME

I’m Fiona Wallace, Creative Director of FWD (Fiona Wallace Design), a studio based in rural Fife, Scotland.
My background is in architecture, where I began my studies in 2008. After completing both an undergraduate and master’s degree, I spent several years working in practice before establishing FWD as an independent interior design studio.
Over time, my work has been shaped by an interest in how the spaces we live in affect how we feel day to day. I’m particularly drawn to the idea that our homes should offer a sense of calm and clarity - supporting the way we live, rather than working against it.
My approach is grounded in simplicity and careful consideration. I'm drawn to spaces that are minimal yet warm—where materials, light, and proportion are quietly resolved.
At the centre of my work is problem solving. Each project is approached individually, with the aim of creating something that feels both considered and personal—shaped around how you live now, and able to evolve with you over time.
FWD was established to offer a more structured approach to interior design, allowing each project to develop with clarity from initial brief through to final detail.
If you’d like to work together, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
